My name, if you haven’t already guessed from the URL, is Anand Philip. I am, professionally, the Senior Medical Officer in a two-doctor mission hospital in rural Karnataka. I graduated from CMC vellore in 2007, and decided I have had enough with pure pill-pushing and so at present am studying health care management, medical law and health policy related subjects thanks to distance education and Open CourseWare .
I am known to have a great sense of humor and love causing uproarious laughter. Unfortunately I was recently described as “serious” and “mature” and so am trying to maintain that facade.
I have in the past described my self varyingly as a “Dysfunctional Christian”, “maladjusted medical student”, “genius procrastinator”, “Misanthropic House Surgeon”, “existentially critical” and more , in other, colorful, skillfully-stringed-for-effect, phrases.
Now, I am No longer bekar,(dysfunctional).
