I am a general practitioner based in Bengaluru. My father taught me to make websites in HTML in the 90s and since then I have been a part-time techie. I somehow managed to keep my tech flame alive during medical training—because who needs sleep, right? In the last few years I’ve moved to doing tech almost full time, with clinical work part-time.
Over the years I have, been part of and lead health-tech teams (astray, i think), built apps, given talks, written on tech policy, and done lot of other ill-advised things.
I am deeply interested in how we make decisions and how to make better decisions. This lead me to design clinical decision support systems, in which the goal is to help clinicians and patients make better decisions. Getting into Machine learning was a natural extension of this.
So, at the moment I am involved in the making of things that use ML/AI in healthcare.
I provide consulting services to startups seeking insights and guidance from a clinical technologist specializing in data/ML/AI and decision-related domains especially if we can talk about ethics and risk upfront.
Contact me if you would like to work on applied machine learning /AI in healthcare or really anything ML. Use the contact page here, or ping me on Mastodon.
